I am a Dreamer

“I can have a Café one day.” What I’ve said 2 years ago. Wanting it was a long story, but I believe that destiny brought me in to start it right now — and it was love at first sight seeing my Shop right at the corner waiting extra for me. =)

From planning, arranging, building and buying — everything have to be low cost, DIY and selbstgemacht.

We’ve cleaned the place for 3 days, built cabinets for more than a week, we even fixed our hanging lamps (14 of them) ourselves to save a bit of a fee from our Electrician. (Oh God! That was still a huge bill at the end!).

We put tiles in the Kitchen and Bar counter, cleaned them once, twice, 3 times, 4 times and 5 times. Carrying fridges (4 Refrigerators!) was definitely a good workout, together with my bakeoven too!

I like it when the wall cabinets were all set, even the shelves. It made me feel, “Yeah, we are almost done!” Then, the next day the tables arrived, chairs came the next day after and my countertop isn’t there yet. That means, no sink, no espresso machine, no table fridge and: we are still not yet ready to go! =(

There are quite a lot of things to be done, days and nights are so tiring, but at the end of the day, I am so freaking happy! Why? I am working for my dream. I am seeing the hard work that I am putting for it. I am learning everyday. Most of all, I have the time of my life! No schedule requests, no asking when can I have free time and no “No” when I want to fly right now to the Philippines!

I am living on my dreams, dreams that all came true. And I am really thankful for that. I really miss my home country and all the lovely people there. Sharing our culture and products in Germany makes me really proud. Like in the Philippines, everything in my soon-to-be Café is simply: “Made with love for you.”
